Seventeen is taken from the bands second album, Light & Magic (2002) which produced 2 other underground hits Evil and Blue Jeans.
Seventeen was used in television advertisements for the perfume 'Inspire' by Christina Aguilera. There has been speculation that the song may be sampled on Aguilera's upcoming album, which has been described by herself as futuristic and inspired by the nightlife of Japan's capital.
